Aura Glaser is a dharma teacher, author, and clinical psychologist who integrates spiritual, psychological, and embodiment work. She began practicing Buddhism in India in the late 1970s and for over thirty years has studied Tibetan Buddhism, Vipassana, and inner yoga with the great masters of Asia. Her teachers include S.N. Goenka, Geshe Ngawang Dhargyey, Ribur Rimpoche, and her root teacher Gelek Rimpoche. She is a co-founder of Jewel Heart, an international Tibetan Buddhist organization, where she has been a senior teacher for over twenty years.

In recent years she felt inspired to step outside the current of her tradition, and focus on an integrative teaching and practice path. To facilitate this emergent process, in January 2012 Aura founded Inner Sky to serve as a base for her teaching activities and for inviting local and visiting teachers.

While the shape of Inner Sky will evolve over time, the essence of her intention is two-fold—supporting the spiritual unfoldment and natural, innate wakefulness of the unique individual; and advancing the practical application of spiritual principles for living an awakened life in these challenging and pivotal times.

Aura’s work is a dynamic blend of Buddhism, depth and transpersonal psychology, inner-body somatics, awakened heart practices, nondual meditation, and the Divine Feminine. Her approach encourages a direct process of inner contact, inner exploration, and inner knowing, through which we give birth to our natural state of wisdom and love.

As part of her deep and long-standing interest in the confluence of embodiment and awakening, Aura trained with Judith Blackstone and is certified to teach Realization Process® Subtle Self Work and Realization Process® Meditation.

Aura is the author of A Call to Compassion: Bringing Buddhist Practices of the Heart into the Soul of Psychology, and has written for Tricycle and Shambhala Sun magazines.  She maintains a private practice, working with people throughout the country. Aura is also the creator and original owner of Crazy Wisdom Bookstore in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
