in a quiet time,
stillness
in motion
illuminates the morning
May all be sheltered, safe, and well.
beyond this and that
souls gleam
bright
as stars—
 kinship flows without borders
This blended family of Sandhill Crane and Canada Goose marked the first time Sandhill Cranes have been documented hatching, and raising as their own, a bird from an other genus.
During this time of living in our collective hermitages, amidst widespread uncertainty and anxiety, I began going through my photo library, and finding nourishment and inspiration in some of the images I had not looked at in a long time, and nearly forgotten. Today it occurred to me to send some of these photos out to all of you on a somewhat regular basis, offering a moment of beauty and aliveness. And perhaps a moment of peace and calm. It is a small offering I know, but it is made with prayers of love and care, and in the spirit of social solidarity. May it serve the good.
